Skagerak is a Danish company with roots deeply rooted in Scandinavian design and the tradition of good craftsmanship. Jesper and Vibeke Panduro founded Skagerak, in 1976, when they began to realize their dreams of manufacturing designs that last in time.
From the northern end of Denmark runs a strait that connects this small country with its Scandinavian neighbors: Sweden and Norway. That strait is called Skagerrak (with two R), and historically it has been a crucial element in the development of this Nordic region.
In Skagerak they have created a direct parallelism with the name of this strait since its prevailing philosophy is to generate a good design, invariable, but always on the move and presented in new ways. They declare themselves traditional, but also new and experimental, mixing cutting-edge ideas and methods with ancestral knowledge and virtues, deeply rooted in Nordic culture.
Northern was born in Northern Lighting studios, where a team of creatives has been lighting lives for the past twelve years. They combine beauty with functionality, and prefer natural materials and genuine craftsmanship. Their furniture and interior accessories are a natural reflection of their philosophy, which allows them to express their characteristic style on a completely new scale.
The Northern collection is simplicity at its best, which translates into fine designs that are fun and easy to combine and contrast. Smoked wood, dim colors and marked silhouettes create a relaxed mood, while subtle geometries and classic sensibilities add an elegant touch. They see the interior as a flexible and creative space, and they make multifunctional products that are unified in style, as well as in spirit.
Its creative reach goes beyond Norwegian heritage, to meet the modern need for relaxed and avant-garde luxury. Northern designs can energize and inspire, create a relaxed atmosphere or set the stage for a relaxing background. Designed with the potential to make any environment unique, Northern products add atmosphere revealing a new vision for the Nordic style.
In 1992, Design House Stockholm was born with the goal of changing the way people think about their living and working space. The secret of their success is that they work with an extensive network of more than 60 independent designers. In the same way as book publishers work with their authors. Only the best of the design proposals are selected for development and production.
They collaborate with young talents as well as established and give opportunities to new names. Although most of their designers are Scandinavian, they also work with designers from the rest of the world: the term "Scandinavian" refers to a philosophical and aesthetic perspective, rather than geography and nationality.
Its collection of functional and aesthetically refined design products brings us from textiles and furniture to lighting fixtures. Today Design House Stockholm is one of the leading editors of contemporary Scandinavian design.

FDB Møbler defined the framework for the company, while focussing on close family values and a democratic community. Now, 75 years later, Coop re-creates the old FDB Møbler classics and develops new models from them.
The classic FDB Møbler furniture makes a difference for people and the environment. The norms and values of the brand are defined in this simple statement: "The good life, today as then."
